Things That Can Help Stimulation In A Child’s Brain
When a parent has a child, they are supposed to act as their guardians. Not only should they be providing the child with an adequate amount of food, water, and shelter, but they should also be their sources of primary socialization. A child should learn basic ethics, morals, and manners from their parents.
This development is not supposed to be done through TV and technology on all platforms but should also be human interaction. A parent should talk to their child and provide them with interactive play sessions to develop curiosity. A child is already born with the ability and the interest to learn more and go further in life. They simply need a little push to go through with such learning processes.
Conversation
You may not believe it, but talking to your child will help them greatly. They will be willing to talk back even though they may not be able to conjure up good words. With time the child will begin to pick up on the things you speak and those written in front of them. Many children have also learned how to talk and develop a good vocabulary by the age of 9-12 months.
With better communication, children will learn how to communicate their feeling better and will know better emotional coping mechanisms in life.
Ask More
You need to make sure you are asking your child questions so they can be willing to answer. The child will have to think about their emotions and what they actually want in order to answer back to you. With time the minor stimulation will help the child grow and understand things better.
You could perform activities that ask the child things to describe, such as playing with animals and asking the child to tell what they see.
Promote Sensory Activities
Once your child begins to understand the concepts of sensory adaptation, they will start to learn more about them. Have boundaries that make the child know that there will be consequences for the things they do. However, once a child has the basics down and knows that a rock is hard, mud is dirty, and flowers smell nice, they will know emotions and can easily have the knowledge which leads them to think before they perform certain activities.
They will learn that the glass is sharp, a knife could cut you, and that certain things do not feel nice.
Book Reading And Knowledge
You should encourage your child to read and perform stimulating activities. Things such as coloring, reading, and sensory books help stimulate brain activity. A book by Saied H. Jacob named Your Babys Brain, Intellect, and You, gives the parent multiple detailed exercises that help promote brain activity and development of your child.
A book with picture will help your child a lot. The bright outlook of the book keeps the child turning pages, even if they do not know how to read. The child will have a brain activity trying to figure out what the book says.
